Father's Day brings to my mind two very different aspects of fatherhood. The first from Sigmund Freud says that "I cannot think of any need in childhood as strong as the need for a father's protection." Unfortunately, more often than not, being a dad feels more like the subject of a French proverb that says that "a father is a banker provided by nature." Either way, it is good to be appreciated. So to all of the protectors, bankers and just plain good guys that we all call dad, I would like to send out a hearty Happy Father's Day.
