Occasionally around here you will see the smart cars and they look so funny because of their size compared to the other cars and SUV's. Then I saw this video and could not stop laughing. I definitely would not want to drive this on the roads in the United States. I think a big horse could squash it! Look at this video and how amazingly small this car is from 1962. Would definitely be a great way to get around on the sidewalks of New York City if you didn't feel like walking all day! LOL
Debra, it does look like those battery operated cars for little kids today!
Gotta say, I get a bit claustrophobic just looking at it. Makes a SmartCar look colossal!
Oh my gosh, Debra. I don't quite understand the point of it. There's absolutely no way that thing would survive out here in Southern California. And, I agree with Lottie. It's a bit claustrophobic.
Would drive just any of us bonkers driving that little bug! Only 20 left - wonder if they're still using them?
Hahaha, that little thing looks like it would topple over if the wind blew. Imagine driving down the highway and being passed by a truck it would be sucked into the slip stream.
I could not even fit in it. I think the crowds in NY would swallow up the car.lol
Hi Deb,
I would not be caught in anything that size, on our roads that looks more like a death wish :)
Debra, I've seen a lot of cars but that's not one of them...I'm thinking that not everyone is going to fit into that little thing.
Now for an amusing thought...rush hour traffic...bumper to bumper and the "Peel" is the only car on the road.
Debra....I'd be afraid a big dog might attack it. Not sure if I could even get into it.
Very cute little thing but I would never drive it on the street with other cars. It would be great for moms with babies at the mall!!!
Debra - My 90lb Lab could knock it over when he jumped on it to say hello. Pass on this one for the road.
That's funny Debra! I'm definitely NOT a small car person... I call Coopers sneakers on wheels. Thanks for the chuckle...
Ryan, Bruce-You're right it does!
Carra, Jane & Suzanne-You crack me up!!
Lottie, Heather, Malcolm, Robert, Darrell-Definitely not good for anyone with claustrophobia. You wouldn't get me in that thing! I thought it was pretty neat though!
Anna-They must be somewhere right?
Jennifer, Nick, Russel, Jane, Sharon-I used to love small vehicles but I stopped driving them for that exact reason. You don't want to be in them in a crash. Although only those in a traffic jam would be pretty funny.
Pam, Al & Peg-Sneakers? I love it! Shopping? Definitely no room! Definitely not a car for a woman! LOL
