Taking Boater Safety Training Is A Smart Thing To Do!

This subject has a special meaning to me right now.  I just watched the family of a friend/co-worker mourn the lost of their 24 year old son due to an accidental drowning on Memorial Day weekend.  I wonder if a little extra training could have saved his life?  Perhaps those of us surviving should take every precaution we are aware of to perserve life.  Please take boater safety seriously.

While the summer is just beginning, let's start off our leisure time being smart, safe, and prepared.   The U.S. Coast Guard is offering a boater safety class for ages 13 and older.  Come learn what to do in case of a boater emergency.  The class will be from 9 am tp 5 pm, July 24th at

Rockwall Parks and Recreation Center (972) 771-7740

Denise, I am so sorry to hear about your friends son. So many people don't take safety seriously on the water.  I think boater safety classes are a great idea.  I grew up in a water skiing family and we took safety quite serious.  I'm now in a sailing family and we still take water safety seriously.
