What do cats, dogs, and pigs have in common?

Contact Jim Frimmer for all your San Diego real estate needs! One of my daily reading books is Peg Silloway's The Cat Lover's Book of Days.

If you're a cat lover, and you don't have this book, you're missing out.

One of the best things about The Cat Lover's Book of Days is that it's not like other books of days because there are no years involved. That means that you can read this book over and over again each year. Get your own copy right here.

Meanwhile, the answer to the title question is, US!

Dogs look up to us.

Dogs look up to us.

Cats look down on us.

Cats look down on us.

And pigs treat us as equals.

Pigs treat us like equal

Winston Churchill via Peg Silloway, The Cat Lover's Book of Days, p. 158

Jim,

I did not know that cat look down on us.

I have 3 that look up me.  :)

Pigs treat us as equals but most of us don't seem to treat them as equals (I wonder why).

That is an excellent book Jim and very enjoyable, yes, everyone should get a copy! BTW Zoey the cool cat, says Happy Fathers Day! She is thinking of allowing you to give her extra rubbies and attention!

That's one of my favorite quotes too, Jim! Thanks so much for the plug - I'm glad you are enjoying the book. Churchill had a good sense of how cats view themselves in relation to humans. Or at least how we think they do! I like this one that you'll find later in the year: "A dog is okay on a sunny day, but a cat is where it's at." (Paula Scher). Regards to Zoey the Cool Cat from Kira and Pipsqueak.

I'll re-emphasize that if you love cats and you don't have Peg's book, you really should buy it for yourself for your birthday.

Hey, everyone.

Sorry it's taken me a little while to get back to this blog post of mine. Summer's in full swing and between real estate, chamber music, and Borders, I'm working like a dog I guess you could say.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I'll be by your blogs to do some reading and commenting. Like they say, "Do unto others as they have already done unto you."

If there are any questions or comments that need specific answers or acknowledgment, I'll do that in separate comments below this one.

Again, thanks for stopping by and commenting.
