All pet lovers in the area need to be careful when putting your pets outdoors. I have had one pekin duck killed when my pond froze last winter and aslo three chickens ine the spring. The coyotes are hungry and looking for an easy meal. Early this spring I was driving my golf cart around my property and found the remains of what looked to be a small dog. I hav heard other people all over the county saying they have had these coyotes near there homes. So if you do not have a fence just keep a good watch on your dogs or cats.

Many of the outdoor animals can raise havoc on domestic animals. Raccoons are hard on chickens and ducks here.
