Earlier today I wrote a blog about last minute Dad's day gifts. One of the items I mentioned is to take him out to his favorite restaurant. I am walking the walk as we have ordered Swinging Door BBQ for Father's Day Dinner and I just came back from picking it up. We love being in our own home here in Katy, TX and the convenience of having anything a person wants easily accessible including great BBQ. That is why many times we stay home in our home so we can enjoy it. I grew up in the north but I have spent a significant amount of my life living in Texas. I have been fortunate enough to have travelled many places through out the US as well many places internationally and the best BBQ in the world is definitely right here in the Great State of Texas!!

Right now if you are looking for really good BBQ check out Swinging Door for any meal. The restaurant is located at 3814 FM 359 Richmond TX 77406 and phone number is 281-342-4758. Their web site is www.singingdoor.com. Simple directions are take Grand Parkway or 99 south and turn right heading west on 1093. Go about 3-4 miles and turn left onto 723 ( right turn is Spring Green) head south on 723 approximately 5 miles and turn left on 369, go 2.5 miles and Swinging Door is the yellow building oin the left hand side.

All of thier food is great. My family really likes the sausage, beef and turkey. Check it out and let me know what you think as I believe just like the owners that this is the best BBQ in Texas!!!
