Many times the question arises as to the standard height for certain things in your home.  I know myself, I have had to Google a few things to make sure I don't lead my clients in the wrong direction.  So I thought I'd take a few minutes to share a bit of knowledge with all of you.  Not mine............the pros!

See full size imageStandard Height for a chair rail is 32 - 36" off the floor.

Mantel Height - 42 - 48" off the floor.

Shower Head Pipe - 80"

                   Towel Bar - 48"

                                                                        Toilet Paper Holder - 24"

Feel free to jump in here any time with your measurements..............well you know what I mean, don't you?

Make it a great day!

nice post. I like tall showers. I think they are all a little short. I go for a 7 foot shower head.

Call a Marana neighbor, I'm THERE!

You know, I never realized there were standards for things like towel bars.  Maybe that's why they seem to hang the microwaves in kitchens so high up that any woman under 5'5" has to use a step stool or risk dumping hot stuff all down the front of herself. Thanks for the post - I learned something!
