Gas Prices Have Dropped
Columbia SC I just gassed up the car and mower for $2.39/gallon here in Columbia. According to AAA Carolinas SC's average gas price is the lowest in the United States. The last time gas prices were at this level was in October 2009.
The current financial crisis in Europe and the strength of the dollar has helped push crude oil prices downward, which has dropped gasoline prices at the pump. As the old ESSO slogan said, "Happy motoring".
I switched my everday driving from my Lexus RX to my 10 year old ES which gets much better mileage and I too see that gas prices have dropped. RX has the new ECO fuel saving feature; however, I think the lower profile of the ES makes it more fuel efficient!!!
Terry, I love to see the gas price drop. We have gotten used to paying a lot more than we ever used to. It has changed the type of cars I drive as well as my driving habits which is a good thing.
I hope gas prices will remain low all summer so that people can go on vacations.
They've been dropping here in the Phoenix area also, and I'm happy about that
