Huntsville Alabama Heatherwood Townhomes

I was in Southeast Huntsville doing research for a client when I passed Heatherwood Townhomes and thought that it would be a great little community to do an informative article about.

Heatherwood Townhomes is located off Old Bailey Cove Rd and just south of 4 Mile Post Rd. in southeast Huntsville Alabama.  Views of the mountains to the east and a short ride to the Tennessee River, Heatherwood Townhomes are conveniently located and an easy commute to Madison Alabama.  Target shopping center is within walking distance and if you like to golf there are three courses nearby.  As a matter of fact some of the owners keep golf carts in their garage.

Now Here's the rub, there have only been two Heatherwood Townhomes listed and sold in the last five years.  One was in the middle of 2005 and the other at the end of 2007.  So why do a post on a subdivision where it's rare to find a townhome for sale.  Well, because it speaks to the stability and desirability of the area.  I did a post not too long ago about Canebrake and Meadow park that was much the same...few sales because people don't want to move...they have found value in this area.  Southeast Huntsville Alabama is a somewhat older well established area of the city.  It offers residents affordable home prices, outstanding views of the mountains, and a respite from the "new home" frenzy found in other areas of Huntsville and Madison Alabama.

There are other subdivisions in southeast Huntsville with availabe townhomesand detatched residence.

Sounds like a really nice complex to call 'home' Nick! If there is such small movement there, it would be wise for a buyer to register their names with you, so they will be the first to know when one comes available.

I have been writing about comunities with little turnover for the same reasons Nick. They are desireable, stable and convenient.

Hi Nick,

This looks and sounds like a really nice condo complex.  I'm sure you will have lots of prospects for this area.

Nick, the stability is great, but how do you get them to appraise, with no units sold in three years?
