I have been a realtor for several years and would like to expand more into the international market. Kentucky has a special niche in land, lakes and horses. Would appreciate some advice on how to break into this market and some of the pro's/con's.
Hi Robin.
You can try to join a local International Real Estate council at a Realtor association near where you live.
You can also get the CIPS designation by taking a series of 5 courses from NAR. Some are available online.
You will meet a lot of people with a lot of experience in the process.

Good Luck to you

Hello Robin,
Congratulations on your decision to expand. I think in the future it will be normal for people to own properties all over the world.
Since "international real estate" is a new concept. What I mean by new, is that not many have a systematic way of assisting buyers and sellers between two countries.
My advice to you is to look for any business, organization, church, group, business that interacts in the area of your interest. See how you can get involved.
Also, here is what has helped me. In order for you to sell International Real Estate, you have to become an International Realtor! Do you travel, have relatives in other countries, or have any type of connection with another country?
Start there and I guarantee you that the path will become clear. I am available for any questions or ideas. Good luck.
