I love living in a golf course community. ShadowGlen Golf Club has a beautiful course, great clubhouse, and some gorgeous homes surrounding it. My husband and I have been talking off and on over the past year about how nice it would be to get our 5 and 8 year old daughters into golf. Visions of golf scholarships seem so vivid. We bought the girls golf clubs last year, but the only action those have seen was when my husband reorganized the garage a couple of weeks ago.
I was excited to see that ShadowGlen Golf was offering golf camps for kids this summer. Perfect! I immediately signed the girls up for a 4 day camp (3 hours per day). The course is right next to our neighborhood, so it's convenient and fairly inexpensive.
Golf camp started yesterday and the girls willingly woke up, quickly got dressed, and were off to the golf course. My 5 year old loved golfing and hasn't complained once. The drama started when my 8 year old realized she was going to have to go back today and immediately started negotiating (as she does with almost everything these days). The negotiating, begging, and pleading continued off and on yesterday and carried over into today. You would think I am torturing her with how much she is carrying on about NOT wanting to go. Needless to say, I'm making her see out all 4 days of golf camp. I don't expect the negotiating to stop until the golf camp is over, so I'm keeping a bottle of ibuprofen nearby.
I admire her tenacity and willingness to do whatever it takes to get her way. Unfortunately for her, I'm also a tough negotiator and she isn't winning this one. ;-)

Golf is a great game for both men and women. Enjoy it
Sounds like a great salesperson. They do not accept no and keep going.
