New Orleans French Quarter Balconies

By
Real Estate Agent with Gardner Realtors, Licensed in La.

New Orleans is an old city and one of the unique things about the French Quarter is the balconies. The balconies are a way to show off you plants and how nice they can be. People in New Orleans like to be outside and enjoy seeing what is going on. Many of the homes have been turned into condos which make great second homes. Presently its very hot, but our best months for weather is form October thru May. We stay green almost year round. There is much more to the Quarter than Bourbon Street. We should have a contest to see who would win. A great feature that is free. See you in the Quarter.

The windows, the shutters, the iron work, the plants, the flags, gas lights all make this a unique feature

Eric, you made my day!  I haven't been to New Orleans since Katrina and always read the news to see how progress is coming in your area.  Those balcony photos are beautiful.  They show life and committment!

I scrolled past this post and backed it up because the photos are just so beautiful.  Thanks for sharing!

I know one thing, I can't live in a place with a balcony like that.  There'd be dead branches and twigs everywhere. I have a black thumb.

Eric, you do a great job with your post. I wish I could have your creativity. The Last photo should be a poster. Great Photos.

Beautiful photos. . .The balconies look lush and inviting.  I'm picturing morning coffee and evening wine on one of them!

Lori, In the dead of summer lets stick to wine as the sun goes down. I played in a tennis tounment today and it was inside. I was soaked after the first match. Thanks for the notice

Carol, it was a simpler time. People had a hard time surviving past the age of 40. Workers wanted to make a lasting impression and had pride in the simpler things. If we had a combination of yesterdays spirit and todays wealth we would be in greater shape. Thanks for the comments
