What would you consider the absolute BEST contact mangement software for teams that work together and share transactions?

I've tried them all and we are considering going back to Top Producer 7i - which gives me the heebeejeebees.  I tried it when it was a newer product and it was not intuititive and is was SLOW.  I understand that they've made improvements.

But what is YOUR opinion?  I'd like to know :)

We have used Top Producer 7i for years .... and the main reason we keep using it it is, it is too much trouble to change to something else!   My biggest beef with TP:  It does not allow me to create my own reports -- yes you can create your own letters --- but if I could create my own reports, I could extend its functionality into our rental properties.  Heck, I'd even pay them extra.

You can find some ONLINE (hosted on a server) versions of ACT --  Google for the words ACT web hosting, or ACT online .  I keep thinking I otta move everything over to an ACT host, and dump TP.....

I have also used Top Producer for years and same as Cheryl - it's too much trouble to switch to something else - I use it mainly for the labels when I do a mail out to my sphere and as a database.  IT IS STILL WAY TOO SLOW and frustrating to use sometimes.

I use Top Producer and enjoy it. I'm still learning all the bells and whistles. I just heard that they are about to release version 8-I, which will be even better and easier.

The hunt for the perfect CRM is an ongoing and sometimes frustrating one.  I am currently trying out one that is new on the market but also waiting to get my password for Salesforce.com to try out.  Thought that I might find something usable outside of the Real Estate World...maybe!

Eurekaware along with Outlook.  It is a LOT cheaper than running TP, and I own it.  It has most of the features of TP, as well.  I would also recommend a search, as I know that I have seen this discussed several times recently.

Lane -- Is your Outlook database accessible from any computer?  On your own office network, yeah probably, but what if you want different users (team members maybe) to each be able to access the same database, each from their own home office.  I imagine, though,  there are hosted Outlook solutions out there.  Hmmm ... something to look into.

I will actually be designing my own SW. No one knows my needs better than I do. I built a tenant/lease database for my own property managment company and it works like a charm.

I would like to take a moment to announce that my new book is out!

"Choosing and Using a Contact Manager or CRM".

“ It’s rare to find someone who understands both the Real Estate business and the intricacies of CRM software. Gary excels at both and has written the definitive book on selecting a CRM for our industry! Positively a “must read” before you invest the time and money into a CRM” -
