Josephine County Historical Society's "Passport To History" - Griffin Park - Grants Pass, Oregon
Continuing on our Josephine County Historical Society's "Passport To History" program finds us at Griffin Park. It's a beautiful day on the Rogue River at Griffin Park, near where the Applegate River joins it for their journey to the pacific ocean.
The fishing boats are leisurely floating around the bends, and then powering back up river to float again over the rich fishing bonanzas.
The geese are keeping watch from the banks and on the water.
A young otter playfully swims upriver a ways, and floats back to base in the fast flowing water.
It is another beautiful summer day here in "God's country," and Griffin Park.
The first day of summer brought us a 83° day at Griffin Park.
You know what this Midwesterner finds to be so incongruous? Such absolutely gorgeous country and NO MOSQUITOES!
