I was recently given a book entitled, "The DaVinci Method" by Garret Loporto. The reason my friend sent me this book is because it seems that DaVinci had the following traits: Impulsive, Risk Taker, Rebel against authority, Intuitive, and on and on.

Oh, and it appears, according to the author, that Leonardo DaVinci had A.D.D.  Go figure.

Now I have to admit that I do tend to have the above "qualities," and maybe A.D.D., but sometimes other people know you better than you know yourself.

Anyway, the book looks enticing and I'm going to start reading it soon, after I finish the other fifteen that are stacked up awaiting my attention.  But, when I do finish the book, I'll blog about it.

that doesn't sound like such a bad book. I think I too have those qualities... Is that why we do what we do? haha...I need to be free to run my business how I want and not have people breathing down my neck. I didn't do well in a corporate job that I had a Sale's Manager, Area sales manager, West region sales manager....etc. They all seem to be watching all the time!! haha

I am definitely not a DaVinci, although I may have a few of the aforementioned traits.  DaVinci was such a unique and brilliant individual that we still remember his accomplishments 500 years later.

Although ADD might explain his interest in such a kaleidoscope of subjects at once, I think it was his Leonardo's talent that made him a giant.  He would have been outstanding at any one of the subjects he tackled, even if he had worked exclusively in art, or sculpture, or inventions, or anatomy.

When looking for a role model, you can't do much better than Da Vinci. So, maybe you're not exactly like him. His example is still one to emulate.

I've read this book and met Garret. I'm a Da Vinci and all the good/bad that comes with it. But it's helped because my real estate team will sell over 100 homes this year without much of my involvement. I run 2 other businesses and I'm starting a new one currently.

I've got ADD but my biggest struggle is OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). I'm a perfectionist and sometimes weird. But what can I say...I'm a cousin of Howard Hughes so as long as I don't get paranoid and crazy I'm okay!

Todd, I will have to check out this book.  It sounds like he may have had a little more going on then the normal person of the time.  Maybe he knew some of the secret?  We are all a DaVinci in one way or another.  We are the creator of our own lives, whether we choose to be or not.  We are thinkers and what ever we think about we create in our lives.  Maybe I need to think about paintings.  lol  Let me know what you think of the book
