Cancer has spread to another. This time it’s a 3-year old girl whose dad was a former Colorado Springs Realtor with my company. Through making an incredible transition from the business world to the ministry, he has completed his matriculation through seminary and has now become senior pastor of a church in Wyoming. As I’ve witnessed his life, I can adamantly say that this gentleman underwent incredible inner changes that have translated into visible evidence of the loving power of God.
Anyway, for this family, their traumatic story has just begun as of a few days ago. One day their daughter was doing great, then the next she fell deathly ill. As a result, she underwent immediate testing and was flown from Wyoming to Denver, Colorado to Children’s hospital. The results of the tests proved positive for leukemia.
It’s certainly a reminder of how life turns on a dime. And it always seems to hurt even more so when you know the unfairness of circumstances and when horrendous things like this happen to innocent people. This family has already received my tears, but this is not where the journey ends - for they will receive my prayers, believing that regardless of outcomes that God provides more power about our future than that of any other forces which try to oppose this truth.
