Vinca in BlueWasn't the little bit of sun that appeared briefly spectacular the other day? I know we've missed it terribly, but there is a silver lining to all these clouds. The damp weather continues to soak Western Washington, and I've needed to rush back to my car more than a few times, to close my car's sunroof during a sudden shower.

As I've waited for the weather to be "beautiful" again, I've noticed an amazing amount of growth to the shrubs and flowering trees I pass on my way to work. With that in mind, I grabbed my android phone, (it's also my camera,) and went on a local expedition for good landscape photos. What a grand portfolio of colorful shots I found!

Rhodies in pink at the Snohomish County Courthouse The Snohomish County Courthouse provided great pictures, wrapped in rhodies, azaleas, green and bronze leaves. I snapped a bunch of those, just to use as custom backgrounds on my phone. s nearby schools, beaches, parks, playgrounds, and neighborhoods, will become treasures you may use again and again. As twilight touches the western horizon, the spectacular coastal Olympic Mountain range will return, appearing over the evergreens. Click that! Ruth's Hyacinths

I can promise, your appreciation of the beauty of Puget Sound will grow, alongside your photographic record of the vibrant northwest gardens and blooms you saved during the wettest Washington State spring in memory. May our rain always bless our blooms, mountain glaciers, and salmon, alike!

And here I thought you had sent all the rain over here to Spokane . . .unbelievably wet this month!  I have plants that were only 12 inches tall last year going over four feet this year!

Wish we had more rain in Phoenix to show nature's abundant harvest of flowers.

Pictures are posted now - I just picked a 100 or so buttercups to press and dry to use in hand made thank you cards. I can't remember being able to find buttercups this late! Thanks for the great comments, everybody!
