Saline, MI Hosts Pro Rodeo

The Pro Rodeo will be appearing at the Washtenaw County Farm Council Grounds, outside of Saline, Mi on August 24 through the 26^th.

The concept of rodeo is simple: Stay up on a bucking horse or raging bull for 8 seconds and end with the highest score. Other events include riding a quarter horse, through the barrels faster than any other competitor.

Did you know that Rodeo is the official state sport of Texas and Wyoming ?

This year there will be a Tough Enough To Wear Pink campaign on Aug 25^th.

Everyone, fans, cowboys, and cowgirls are encouraged to wear pink to show their support for Breast Cancer Research. Voluntary funds raised will benefit the breast cancer research at the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center. U M Comprehensive Cancer Center

Tickets can be purchased at Lodi Country Market in Saline, Lakeside Saddlery in Whitmore Lake and 3 Bar B Ranch in Adrian, MI.

Yeehaaa, two of my favorite things! I love to watch the bull riding on Saturday and Sunday nights, and anything that raises money to cure breast cancer is my favorite charity. Seeing those tough cowboys wear pink and ride those bulls would be fun! Wish I could be there.

I enjoy watching rodeo on TV - I bet it is fun in person. Great to hear that this event in Saline will benefit breast cancer research - hopefully everyone that attends is tough enough to wear pink.

What a wonderful event to participate in to RAISE MONEY for Breast Cancer!! LOVE THE PINK...LOVE THE RODEO!! Sounds like lots of fun!!!

Sounds like fun, I've never seen a rodeo myself.

I love the rodeo, my wife hates it! We always end up at the petting zoo instead!! Wish I was closer!!

Brad, Big difference in the rodeo and petting zoo !!! We have one of those at Domino's Farms. Tom Monahan's started it when he built the World Headquarters, I like that too. Haven't gone since the kids grew up.

Hey Missy, I was born in Mt. Clemens and grew up in Lapeer. I graduated from Sandusky High School in Sandusky, Michigan in 1980 and moved to AZ. Then I landed in Texas in 1984.
