Realizing the Radical Returns of the Rain
Rich, My perspective is that the way you presented this makes sense to a very wide range audience. Congrats!
For the past several months, I've been marketing a home over near Port Ludlow in Jefferson County WA. It's a beautiful craftsman-style home situated on a private 1+ acre lot with 120 feet of low bank Puget Sound waterfront.

We just went under contract this past week, but that's not the point of this article.
I pride myself in creating a very strong and effective online exposure/presence for my listings. Many of the tools and processes that I utilize were gained as a result of my involvement here on ActiveRain. In addition to our local Northwest Multiple Listing Service (NWMLS), my website KitsapLife, my local real estate blog SoundBiteBlog, and our company site, Windermere, I also use vFlyer, Postlets, and RealEstateShows which automatically syndicates my listings to 15 high-traffic domains. Then, I manually upload my listings to Trulia and Zillow. Obviously, as indicated above, I promote my listings here on ActiveRain as well.
A couple weeks ago, out of the blue, I was contacted by a retired couple over on the Seattle side who were interested in a waterfront townhome in Port Ludlow and wanted me to arrange a showing for them. When asked how they found me on the Internet, all they could remember was that I had a really pretty wife!
Out of curiosity, I did a Google search for 'Port Ludlow Waterfront Property' and to my delight, my listing came up on #4 and #5 on Page One. That ranking is the results of just 'one' listing that I've been marketing now for a couple of months.
Just yesterday, my new Buyers reached mutual agreement on the townhome for over $600K.
In my arsenal of real estate marketing weapons, ActiveRain continues to be one of the most powerful!
