Looks like this area of the marina had some shade. Much needed relief on a hot, humid day like today. I believe it's getting close to 100 degrees.
Looks like the suns trying to come out, but the bay is lovely with the boats and lurking blue clouds. picture tells a story.
Anne: This was taken earlier in the month. A much nicer day than the hot, humid mess we're dealing with today.
Cindy: No wonder you like living there so much. Being near the waterfront is very relaxing.
Ellen: It was very sunny that day. Thinking that there may have been a building or tree behind us giving some shad.
That marina is a great place to wander around! We had dinner at the Ethiopian restaurant there last year, and it was fabulous.
Thanks for the memory-jogging photo, Chris Ann!
Tony & Darcy: Wish I could enjoy some days on the water.
Robin: I had Ethiopian food a long time ago in DC. It was really good. The communal dining with your hands was hard to get used to, but I remember the food was wonderful.
Rich: Our expensive hobby is sitting at Manassas Regional Airport. Husband has a single engine plane. Nothing left for a boat.
I know that Marina from visiting Old Town a few years ago. It's nice and peaceful!
I love Ethiopian food, especially the spicy stuff and the lentils. If you don't want to do communal dining, you can always order your own.
Jackie: It's very quiet, with the exception of the planes on approach to Reagan National.
Michelle: Wish I knew anything about boating. I think I'd really enjoy it. Maybe a hobby to take up in retirement.
Elizabeth: I remember the green bean dish that we ordered was awesome. There was some other spicy stuff too, but I have no clue what my firends ordered. They were regulars at the restaurant.
