Stowe's car shows keep the summer rolling

Stowe, Vermont, might not be the most obvious of car enthusiast destinations, but it should be this summer.

Stowe will host six different car events. While two, the British Invasion of Stowe and the Antique and Classic Car Show, are designed for public viewing, the remaining four are focused particularly on enthusiasts.

Known to some as the godfather of motorsports events in Stowe, Chris Francis is the man behind several of the events.

"Cars are such an interesting part of our lives, although some people don't necessarily realize it," said Francis, who moved from England to Stowe in 1983. "They are an integral part of our daily life and our memories."

And what better way to build those memories than with car tours and shows? A brief description of each event is included below. But be warned: These events often draw repeat crowds, so don't wait to make your reservations.
