The Disc Golf course at Burke Lake Park in Springfield is extremely popular. Although I have never played it, my association with the sport came about when the Rotary Club of West Springfield agreed to provide both material and labor to replace damaged "tees". I never realized the frisbee had developed into a popular game with rules similar to golf. You can learn more about frisbee golf or disc golf at Professional Disc Golf Association

Last summers president of the Rotary Club of West Springfield I decided to visit the disc golf course since signs recognizing our contribution were about to be installed recognizing our contribution..

I used my "charm" or the fact I am old enough to be their grandmother to convince a foursome of young men to demonstrate the disc or frisbee golf technique. I even learned innova disc is one of the more popular disc golf discs and rhere are several frisbee golf courses in Northen Virginia
