The past couple of days around here has been grey, hot and humid.  Some of the rains have been rather heavy.  All in all the outdoors has not been much inspiration - and sunshine has been at a premium.  I took a short drive to see if there was a way to recharge my brain and wound up parking at the end of the marina in a restaurant parking lot.  As I looked downriver it appeared so very calm - almost deserted.

                                                                         


In a couple months all the boats will come out of the water in anticipation of a Great Lakes winter.  And then the icy river will sparkle like diamonds.

The pictures are nice, but something is missing..... now I remember, blue skies and sunshine! I am a Florida girl and can't be without those blue skies too long!!!

Carol,  I'm writing from sunny North Fort Myers FL, but the pix remind me of the marina in Buffalo.  Taking a stroll along the waterfront is a great way to enjoy the beauty around us.

Barbara - Thanks for stopping by!  While I like blue skies, too, I am going to let you take care of the Florida end of it!  LOL  I don't like that heat and humidity down there - too hot for this 4 seasons gal!

Stephen - Thanks for stopping by and commenting!  I love to sit and watch the boats, the ripples in the water and the occasional fish that takes a jump at a  bug.  Kind of simplifies life and puts things into perspective for me.
