On the news today, our stalwart Governor summarized the response (or lack thereof) as Obama sent subordinates armed with Powerpoint presentations that proved that the Obama Administration has no interest in helping with our crisis here in Arizona. Go Joe I stand with Arizona and it is just not right that we do not support them.

I suspect Sheriff Joe was referring to the laws of the state of Mexico that have also been broken when their borders are crossed
Wallace: Did you just make that up ? That is one of the quickest "two step" dances I have heard of in awhile... trying to make up for something that Sheriff Joe said that was wrong. So now, Sheriff Joe also enforces the laws of Mexico ? Yer gonna wear this old guy out if yer not careful.
Some folks would argue that Arizona only belongs to the United States as a result of illegal seizure of Mexican territory. Will the good sheriff attempt to enforce international law too? We should consider the possibility that all but Mexican nationals may be illegal residents of Arizona. The good sheriff may wish to consider the consequences of enforcing all laws.
Karen Ann -- You are missing the point. We have a huge problem here in Arizona with the illegals. The Feds are not doing their job. Governer Brewer and Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio are challenging the Feds to do their job. We need to stand with them. It is an issue of 14th amendment and states rights.
Well, "Georgia," I guess we agree that somebody other than the US may have legal rights to Arizona. Of course, I understand that you meant to write that the half million square miles was actually "purchased" from Mexico in 1848, not 1948. The fifteen million dollars was not really paid to Mexico, rather deducted from an enormous debt that we claimed they owed us.
Interesting that you claim that I make uninformed liberal comments, especially considering that I have recently been called a "rightie" by one of the others who have commented on this blog. Granted it was pertaining to another issue, but I still find it interesting.
Georgia, which is it? Did you say that someone else has possible claim to Arizona or not? You said you did not, then you claimed that it was said, but in jest. Either way, it's apparent that we agree on nothing. Hope you have a great weekend.
I just made another post about taking a stand with Arizona. The enactment of SB1070 was a stand against the abuse of power by the Feds. We need all the states and individuals within the states to take a stand on all the issues where the Feds are abusing The Constitution and tramling their oaths of office.
