On Sunday July 4th, see free fireworks and lots of fun activities in Raleigh at the NC State Fairgrounds, presented by The City of Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department in collaboration with the NC State Fair.

- Activities start at 5 pm
As always, if we have one of our sudden summer thunderstorms, there will be a slight change in activities. All indoor activities will remain as scheduled, but the fireworks will move to July 5th at 9 pm
Fun activities include:
- Sports
- Independence Day Hat-Making
- Arts
- Dance Instruction
- Nature and Adventure programs
- Taiko Japanese drumming performance
- Raleigh Police and Fire vehicles on display
- Giant obstacle course
- Wii games
- Contests and Scavenger Hunts
- Bingo
- "Got to Be NC" Watermelon Cutting
Fireworks start at 9:15 pm
Accessible parking and general public parking is available in Gate 4 & Gates 9. Free parking in Fairgrounds lots near Gate 9 Trinity Road and Gate 4 Youth Center Road. Handicap parking access through Gate 9 on Trinity Road.
Pets are not allowed inside the event area. No alcohol and no coolers allowed.
The Raleigh Flea Market will also be on site Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 6 pm.
