Hey Kids:  The match for 'Iberian rights' may well be a win for the big guys. Portugal has not really demonstrated a strong offense and unfortunately may fall to Spain who have only been slightly more impressive.

Oh Lay, oh lay oh lay oh lay, Oh lay, oh lay oh lay

Al and Peggy,

The game ended about 15 minutes ago.  Paraguay and japan were tied after regular time and extra time so they had to go to a shoot out (the first for this World Cup).   Paraguay won 5-3 in the shoot out but my congratulations goes to both team who played a great match.  The second row on your flags quiz is now crossed out with soccer balls

Al and Peggy,

This one just finished a minute ago.

Spain 1 - Portugal 0

7 out of the 8 of the group leaders advanced to the next round (USA being the only group leader not making it to the quarter finals).

Hindsight is 20/20 Anne, so YES Spain will win LOL!

They did Laura but there are a few more tough teams ahead now!

Ahhh, now who Ed?? Oh Lay?

It's going to get real intense now Michelle!

Thanks for your timely comment once again Gerry. We were sitting on an appointment and peaked at your message! Guess we will have to re-vamp our field of flags.....

Hey Marc, Gerry is pitching hitting in our absence and doing a fantastic job with the updates. Glad you got a chance to check the Realbird out let us know what you think of it.  Found another one also but not sure if its woring in Canada yet.

This game hurt Gerry, caught just about 45 min. of it while grabbing a quick snack.  These guys put full effort out there!

Your welcome Nick, just step right up here and get your daily dose! We felt Anne's post was feature worthy and suggested it as such, to try and get it more attention we re-blogged it. Good eh?

George, is was another sad day, they gave a good effort. So did USA. We have to go with Argentina, our latest client is from there and deserve our support.
