60 Comments on Go seasonal with shells for staging and redesign touches
I love staging our coastal area, they actally love it when I do a little bit of an up an updated beachy look. The beach look has come some far, in home decor, it's not about nets, and the huge fish on the wall any more.
Terrific use of shells here Cyn ! They always convey a nice fresh appeal, and I love how you arranged it !
... shame you dont live in Bergen County, I'd have a good few staging jobs for ya !
Cheers !
Thank you Marianne, I do have fun sharing my idea w/ my clients & friends.
Hi Cindy you're right, the beach look has come a long way it's subtle and artsy!
Well shucks Sheldon, thanks a lot!!! I really enjoy showing the homeowners inexpensive ways to make their home more appealing.
Cheers to you to :~D
She sells seashells by the seashore ;-) hey, just dropped by to see how you were doing? Hope you had a great 4th ;-)
Hey Russell, the 4th was soooooooo good I continued the festivities onto the entire day of the 5th! Woo-Hoo!!!Thanks for stopping by. Hope your holiday went well too.
Who doesn't like shells....gotta share my crafty ways :~D
Cynthia, I didn't think of shells as a summer design. That's a great idea. I always thought that it supposed to be by the beach. But I guess we can bring little bit of vacation atmosphere to every home in summer.
Hi Anna, That's exactly what I try to convey with these pieces but your words makes it clear..."bring little bit of vacation atmosphere to every home in summer."
Thanks for your words and the visit to my blog!
Hi Cynthia - Love the sand and sea shell staging ideas. It reminded me of sand art. I used to love playing with that when I was a child, and so did my children. What is the blue thing in the arrangement?
LOL, it's a frog Judy, I love a little whimsical touch here and there! Gotta have fun :) I hadn't thought about the sand art in looong time, it reminds me of the booths along the beach boardwalk in Maryland.
Cynthia, Beautiful arrangements and simple ideas you have shared to enhance the living space..well done!! I recently visited Montauk NY and collected some sand and shell and are now even more motivated to set up a small display..thanks!!
Wow... I feel honored to have influenced an artist as yourself Laura, thank you. Yes simple ideas are the best, I like to find something anyone can do, it makes so much fun!
Interesting look. I think about the grand kids though. Maybe I should wait until they are older or get the super glue.
You bet the grand kiddies would be all over these designs Jack, in fact many grownups find it hard to resist the one in the wooden bowl. That makes me giggle, they are like curious children :)
Cynthia,
I love these ideas. Beautiful sand and shell arrangements! I too love the grass and sand arrangement. It feels like you are right there at the beach. The sand always reminds me of fun...writing on and making sandcastles. I even got an iphone app called Zen you can write in the sand and add rocks etc. These ideas are great for Staging...buyers will stop and start to dream when they see them...a lifestyle they can't resist!
Linda anyone can take these ideas and spin them in their own fashion. The design w/ the grass in it can be fun to switch up w/ different materials. We must think alike because they give off the beach {{{vibe}}} when I walk past them I can't help but smile!
Now that app you have sounds very cool, I bet you have a lot of fun w/ that one. Thanks for the visit!
I've pretty much always lived at the beach and love seashells and the like. I wish I had the ability to put the arrangements together like you do.
Hey Christine is easy I pinkie swear! Just go to your local craft store even Wallmart has a lot of the items here need to complete these looks. Then come back here and copy mine. These are super easy to put together, YOU CAN DO IT :~)
Oh wow... I just found this through the link on Karen's post, and I wish I'd seen it before I helped my brother and sister-in-law stage their rental property at the beach. I was actually down there when you wrote this, and didn't have time to read Activerain. Well, next year...
Hi Margaret, how's it going in MD, I hear from my daughter it's as hot there as it is in GA. That was so nice of Karen to mention me in her blog, she's a gem!!! Thanks for clicking on the link, I appreciate it :)
Save this idea for next time or just point your brother & sister-in law to this blog, maybe they still have time to sneak one in. They are quick & easy to put together!
Thank you for sharing your blog; we need Real estate Professionals to share their comments and information regarding their markets and experiences. Thanks again from beautiful Sunny San Diego
