Thanks Mike for sharing this info for me. I look forward to learning more about blogging.
She has a good tutor with you Mike...I sometimes see blogs as essays on the topic of real estate...helps with the perspective.
Very good Bob. Succint! However, I too am new and don't know what you mean by "you have to have the rain maker status"?
Valerie, in order for Activerain to allow search engines to see your keyword laden posts, they require you to pay $29.95 which in my opinion is a bargain if you plan to blog alot and those blog posts are aimed at potential clients. If you are just looking for a social network site where you can blog then you would not need to pay that $29.95.
Thank you Bob for clearing that up for me! I really appreciate it. As stated before, I am new to this site and reading all the great postings and trying to decide if I need to make the leap. Per your blog, sounds like it is a good idea. Have you received benefits that translate into sales/opportunities? As you know, there are so many vehicles out there that relieve realtors of their hard earned money with the promise of generating leads, etc.
I am so much to learn about blogging and making connections in the ActiveRain group. I appreciate reading what you and others have written. I have not spent the $29.95 yet but if you suggest it I may tried. I need to learn from those of you who have the experience and knowledge.
Mike, I read a comment you left on another bloggers posting and followed you over to your blog to check out some of your posts!
In reading this particular posting on blogging on ActiveRain, I noticed that you didn't answer Valerie's question in comment #5. You might want to circle back (even though it's been over a month) and answer now IMHO. ;-)
TGIF and have a great weekend!
Valerie,
My outside blogs cost me nothing except paying for custom domain name which is cheap. I have gotten business as a result of blogging both here in Activerain and my outside blogs.
