It's not too late to sign up your kids for the Greensboro Library Summer Reading Program.  This free program encourages children to read all summer long with prizes and fun activities.  Just for signing up, my kids received coupons for a free kids meal at Moe's, a free ice cream at Chick-Fil-A and discounts for bowling at Triad Lanes!

Greenboro, NC LibraryGetting signed up is easy as A-B-C!  Visit the Central Library or any of the six branches and receive a reading log.  Participants set their own goals for summer reading, whether it is a certain number of books, chapters or minutes of reading.  Bring your reading log back to your local branch in July and again in August to receive your choice of prizes.

In  addition, each library has a multitude of activities for all students, including teens.  Are animals your thing?  Get up-close and personal with a snake, courtesy of the NC Museum of Natural History or see live animals straight from the NC Zoo.  Have a budding artist?  Don't miss the Art Quest special events.  Do you live with a drama queen or king?  They will love the many puppet shows, movies and story times.  Your teen may enjoy Teen Game Night or special movies and parties geared specifically for older students.
