Down Payment Assistance for City of Federal Way Home Buyers
The House Key Federal Way Down Payment Assistance program, administered by the 
Washington State Housing Finance Commission, under the authority of the City of Federal Way, will help stabilized neighborhoods within the community and assist approximately 19 low-to-moderate-income first-time home buyers purchase foreclosed or bank owned homes in designated areas of the City of Federal Way.
The $651,688 program, called "House Key Federal Way," is funded with Federal recovery funds awared to help transform foreclosed properties into community assets.
Qualifications include:
- Qualified buyers must have a family income under the House Key Limits (1-2 person household income $90,000; 3+ person household income $97,000)
- The property must be located anywhere in Federal Way
- The property purchased must be a foreclosed property, bank-owned, 90+ days delinquent, or an abandoned property
- Borrowers must attend pre-purcahse counseling/home buyer education sessions
- The home must be the primary residence of the purchaser
