Around Halloween of last year, the San Diego Zoo's reindeer mysteriously disappeared.

There were rumors that Santa needed some extra help with the state of the economy being what it was, and our San Diego Zoo reindeer volunteered.

I'm happy to report that they are back from the cold north and losing that thick coat of fur that kept them warm up there. After all, here in sunny San Diego they can bare it all, so to speak.

I'm sure after spending the summer here relaxing and getting refreshed, they'll be ready to go again if Santa calls them back to duty this Christmas.

The San Diego reindeer deserve a nice vacation after doing all that work for Santa last Christmas and earlier this year.

Russell, the reindeer didn't "mysteriously" disappear!  Everyone knows that had a previous engagement they had to attend to!  ;-)

Russell...didn't they come back a little too soon--we went to the zoo there many eons ago when in the area. It was a good experience even though I don't remember the deer. Actually, after the walk in the sun I really don't remember anything else that was there either.  We Michiganders / Michiganians usually don't have +90 temps.
But, this Sunday & or Monday, we are scheduled for 94* & 92* respectively--bring on the sunshine. Have a great Holiday.
Love that 'mouth photo' of your buddy--so cool.

Hey, everyone!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

I've been very busy, but today I'm trying to follow up on these older posts like this one to see if anyone had any questions or if I really need to respond to anyone's comments.

I will read all the comments and respond to any that need a response, but since this post is rather old, rather than making comments here in my post to each and every one of you, I'll just let everyone know that I have read all the comments and if there are any questions, I'll answer those in comments below this one. Otherwise I'll simply post this comment and then head over to your blogs soon to visit and do some reading and commenting. I hope you'll have a nice welcome mat out for me!

Don't forget to let your cat come out to play with all the other ActiveRain kitties. Your cat-friendly dogs can come, too!

If you need a great cat book, get yourself a copy of Peg Silloway's The Cat Lover's Book of Days.

Hope all is well with everyone.
