California to Offer Program to Trim Underwater Mortgages

What next, maybe the Federal Government could just start making all our payments for us! If a story in the Sacramento Bee is to be belived then the latest scheme to come down the line is for The State of California to use Federal money to pay down the mortgage on some defaulting loans. Well if they are going to do that then I want them to pay back the equity I have lost on my home first.
