Happy Birthday Canada!   from Red Lodge, Montana

Today is Canada Day.  I want to take the time to wish all my friends and family in Canada, a very Happy Canada Day.

I had to search long and hard in town to find a Canadian flag. 

But here it is, the lone Canadian flag on this Canada day in Red Lodge.   It was located at Chateau Rouge (the name is French for red castle).

The Canadian flag is proudly displayed at the Rodeo of Champions along with the US flag.

Gerry, nice to see the flag flying south of the border.  I'm off to spend the evening with friends, drink a nice cold glass of B.C. wine, eat local strawberry-rubarb pie, and watch some fireworks from the beach later.  Bonne fete a vous, aussi, mon ami.

Hi Gerry - Hope you had a great Canada Day.  Our weather has been fantastic.

Glad you found a Canadian flag in Red Lodge.  Are they as hard to find as moose? :)

I remember that girl in the Rodeo of Champions.  I think I had made a comment about her possibly being in two different photos but you had said that they were different people.

I did have a wonderful Canada Day (it was a beautiful sunny day and I visited town to celebrate and surprise some people by my "Happy Canada Day!" announcement) but I will have to wait another 3 days for some fireworks.  

I thought I would find more Canadian flags than just one in town.  They seemed to be rarer than moose.  But, I plan to change that when I get a Canadian flag to bring back with me to Red Lodge from my next visit to Canada.

I somewhat expected you would remember this girl in the opening festivities at the Rodeo.  perhaps, I will see her again this year and take an updated photo (although I am not sure she will in charge of carrying the same flag this year).   :)
