Fourth of July Fireworks Schedule and Directory For Chicago's Northwest Suburbs - Palatine, Barrington, Wauconda, Lake Zurich, Buffalo Grove, Hawthorn Woods, etc.
There are so many choices for fun the next few days and there are so many places to celebrate. It will be a nice break after showing 40 homes across the Chicagoland area - over a four day period to two different home buyer clients! (And the most recent www.naeba.org conference held here yesterday - which was great!)
I love fireworks! Being able to make loud noises and shoot off pretty displays in the open skies is a large part of the freedom many of us like... Here is a list of local area fireworks schedules and band and fest information:
JULY 3RD FIREWORKS AND PARADE AND BAND / EVENT SCHEDULE
Arlington Heights
The grand daddy of fireworks displays - - at Arlington Park - on a par with Itasca. There is a $10 admission fee per person -but if you want to watch for free - there are plenty of places to park just outside the track (not going to tell you my secret spot however - as then it wouldn't be secret or available) :-) and then you can walk to the hill next to the parking area on Euclid - where many people put out their blankets & picnic Ravinia style. You still get a great view of the grandstand and the fireworks - just as if you were inside.
Fox Lake Fireworks
The Village of Hawthorn Woods Fireworks on the 3rd at Community Park
The 4th of July Parade will be at 10 am on Sunday. The parade begins at
Falkirk and Lagoon and Carlisle intersection and ends at the Village
Hall Barn.
Hoffman Estates
The Buckinghams are playing at 9:30 PM 1800 Hassell Rd

Lake Zurich Family Day and Fireworks on July 3
At Paulus Park is just north of rte 22 on east side of Rand Rd. The B-Side Band will be playing. Get there early and set up some chairs and have a Ravinia style picnic too!
Wauconda
Overlooking Bangs Lake - you can go to Lindy's Landing. They have a fish boil and band. Docks has a large fee from what I hear - so I'd suggest Lindy's Landing. Better ambience too!
Wilmette - at Gilson Park July 3 at along lakefront.
