Now that you have joined now what. What to post about, well here are some ideas. Post news and events about your local market. Market reports and photo's are a great place to start. Mention your listing and co-listed. Talk about their neighborhoods and the property.

Don't forget to finish your Active Rain profile. Your profile is very important for the reader and potential consumer. Also, remember to update your profile often.

If you have any questions just ask many of the members of AR will share their knowledge and skills. One last point, in order to receive points the post must be 50 words or more. It not about the points but about the consumer finding you. Enjoy the AR!

Frank, I got a call last week from a new activerain in my community. The conversation was long, too much to tell him what to do. I could tell he was overwhelmed. IT is best for them to join the activerain newbies group and go at their own pace.

You offer some excellent suggestions to get them going.

I got a e-mail from a new member about a month ago asking me how to game the system so that she could get more points.  I said game the system.  why not just write blogs for consumers and get all the benefits that active rain was designed to give.

James I hear ya. I don't understand the game of the system. The system will not make you any money. If you use proper tags and post often about things of interest (consumer) the points will take care of them selves. I posted on Chicago Cub baseball ( I am a big Fan) and another local fan found me. I now have their listing. No reason for gaming our system. I order to game the system I think you have to understand blogging. I am still learning. So why do you need to game the system ....
