I usually do not go into contests ...but I was encouraged to try this one. So here goes...
When I was growing up on the eastern seaboard of Long Island New York. I had no idea that many years later I would become a Realtor®. I also had no idea that I would be pursuing one of my passions.....writing. I really enjoy writing real articles that have meaning about my life and about my business. Well... I guess I figured that out after I wrote my first newsletter back in 1999 when I moved to Florida. I started to branch off by getting my message out into the public eye and I felt that I constantly needed to improve on it. But now I have reached many new heights and I am starting to incorporate my writing into my marketing plan. I spent some time recently reading and came across of few blogs I wanted to read. I felt that the content was interesting to me and my business. I know I am a good Realtor®. My writing style has changed dramatically and has gotten better..but I always feel there is room for even more improvement so I can be the best at it.
Now I realize that there are many great blogs outside of Activerain that I missed and I am inspired to produce my own. With a little time and effort I shall get there.
Here are a few writers that I think you should check out and some of the articles they wrote.
Negative Blog Comments: How to prepare for and handle a bad Consumer Generated Media Thread written by Scout....this article talks about how to handle negative comments and how to adress the commentator. Being transparent but still addressing the comment sincerely. Let them speak their mind..listen and read every line so you understand what they are really trying to say. This is a great post for those who take comments as an insult when they really should be able to clearly understand and engage in a more constructive manner.
Checking in With Yourself written by Kristen Fischer of Freelance Switch....she talks about the ups and downs of blogger burn out and how she tackles those issues and the different exercises she does to alleviate the stress, taking those stress breaks while keeping those creative juices flowing and her mind energized. I really enjoyed this one because I was experiencing writers block a few weeks ago and this will help me the next time it happens.
1031 Exchange BLOG written by Steve Hickox...This subject is extremely important to me and anyone that gets the chance to understand what working with a buyer that needs to do a 1031 exchange. I am currently working with one at the moment so I am sure Steves blog will help me and my buyer understand what the process is all about.
Hopefully I did this right. If not ...it was still fun checking out other blogs in the outside world!
John Novak posted an excellant example of how to post for the challenge.
