Fannie Mae in your domain name?

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Town Center

What happens when you have the term "Fannie Mae" in one of your domain names? You receive a letter to cease and desist from using the domain- immediately!

As I work to terminate the domain, end all ties I may have with my Fannie Mae REO domain address, website and my emails from Fannie Mae REO.com, please make sure you are emailing me at Renee@FindMeAGreatHome.com.  Do not attempt to visit my website at Fannie Mae REO. Do not attempt to email me at my Fannie Mae REO email.  They will no longer be up and available, effective immediately!

Effective immediately, I will not be using the Fannie Mae REO.com for any websites or emails.  I will not be using Fannie Mae REO to misrepresent myself as Fannie Mae has assumed I may have tried to do.  Fannie Mae REO will not be found in any of my advertisements or to promote myself for foreclosure services of any kind.  I did not have Fannie Mae REO to boost my career; GOD knows the domain name did nothing for me!  I didn't create and use Fannie Mae REO to be deceptive to my peers or the general public.  I was not using Fannie Mae REO to be deceptive in any way.  I just thought it was a cool address.

After having been "apprised" of my unauthorized and "improper" conduct, I will happily respect the rights of Fannie Mae and not continue to use Fannie Mae or any implied Fannie Mae REO trademarks to potential customers, the public, my peers, enemies or anyone.  Fannie Mae has demanded I and any associates or affiliated entities take the following actions, which I am happily doing immediately.  I can see how using Fannie Mae REO can be misleading.  Although this was not my intention.

I will take down the Fannie Mae REO website and remove the Fannie Mae REO domain name from my advertising.  I will discontinue the use of Fannie Mae REO in any future advertisements from this day forward, beginning NOW, in any publications.  You will not see my picture, promotions or advertisements associated with the Fannie Mae REO website or other uses I may have inadvertently taken on.

Effective immediately, I am going to cease and desist from all use of Fannie Mae's trademarks thru which others (including Fannie Mae) may feel are deceptive or unfair trade practices.  It will not be necessary for Fannie Mae to take further action against me, my associates, affiliates, enemies, whomever, regarding my use of Fannie Mae REO.  I intend to no longer use the Fannie Mae REO website or Fannie Mae REO email address, effective immediately.

For all those who may have even known I had the domain name Fannie Mae REO or an email address associated with Fannie Mae REO, please refrain from contacting me at my Fannie Mae REO email address.  In the future, all email correspondence shall not be directed to my Fannie Mae REO email address but rather Renee@FindMeAGreatHome.com

When looking for assistance with all of your home purchase or selling needs, please redirect yourself to my website, FindMeAGreatHome.com.  Again, the Fannie Mae REO website will be removed immediately, effective by midnight this evening.  If you attempt to access the Fannie Mae REO website it will be no longer available.  For all of your home buying or selling needs, you can find the resources needed at www.FindMeAGreatHome.com
