Explore South Lake Tahoe with the Park Rangers Who Know It Best!

We love it when we find out about programs that are available to anyone - locals and tourists alike - in South Lake Tahoe.

Taylor Creek has always been one of our favorite walks, with a beautiful, serene nature trail leading to the Trout Stream Profile Chamber, and then looping back to the Taylor Creek Visitor's Center. No special skills are required, this is a very level, paved trail.

Other easily accessible trails can lead down to the beach or through the meadows, but our main focus here is to let you know about the cool programs offered by the US Forest Service throughout the summer months (July and August). All programs begin and end at the Taylor Creek Visitor's Center.
