My wife and I live in Texas and we helped our son purchase a townhouse in Birmingham a few years ago. When he moved to another city, we contacted Bham WIire Realty to rent and manage the townhouse for us. Charita advertised, screened prospective tenants, and found someone who was a good fit.
We are very pleasedwith the way Charita has managed the townhouse. She keeps us informed of any repairs needed, and contacted us about four months before the tenant’s original lease expired to plan for the following lease year. The tenant decided to renew her lease for a second year, which I believe is primarily due to Charita’s efforts in building and maintaining a good relationship with the tenant.
We also like having online access to the revenue and expense reports provided by Bham WIiRE Realty, including the year-end summary, which makes doing our taxes much easier. We especially like having our monthly rental payments direct deposited into our bank account, so we don’t have to wait for a check to arrive in the mail and hassle with making a deposit.
We don’t worry about the townhouse because we know that Charita is taking care of it. She is very professional and responsible, and we would recommend Bham WIiRE Realty to anyone needing a property management company.

What many of my comrades on ActiveRain may not realize is that Bham WIiRE Realty, LLC was borne to fill a void in property management services in our metropolitan Birmingham Alabama area.
In 2008, Birmingham Alabama, real estate sales began to feel the pinch of the economy's wrath and home values and sales took a nose dive in what seemed like an instant. Until 2008, we only felt the pains of other markets as their sales plummeted.
When th:e sting finally hit home, everyone was was scrambling to sell, sell, sell -- both owners and agents alike were overlooking the prospect of the owner renting their home until the market inevitably recovered. We've been very fortunate to provide our property management clients with good tenants who can afford market rents (despite their somewhat shaky credit in some cases) and pay rents on time month after month. That's a record I'm very proud of and we owe that to our extensive tenant screening, property selection, routine maintenance and quality care in reporting to our owners and managing the risk of our owners
We've done well in the time that we've been in business. I have no regrets about my decision to have a branch of Bham WIiRE Realty manage properties for investors (in and out of state), accidental landlords, and those who I serve
