AR Friends,
Just a quick note about weight loss, I have seen so many posts today about wrecked diets and BBQ's that I just have to chime in.
Last year my husband was morbidly obese. Everyone was so quick to judge him thinking he just lacked self-control. Our family doctor asked him within 15 seconds of our visit “Why can’t you just eat less and exercise more”? To which my husband said: "How about you diagnose me first, then provide treatment options." After testing we found he had ADHD and when treatment began he lost weight.
Since that meeting 8 months ago he has lost 74 pounds. Demanding that diagnosis was the smartest thing he could have done. Dave does not diet and only works out sporadically.
If your GP has not helped you to lose 1 to 2 pounds a week within 90 days of your first visit get a new doctor, preferably one that specializes in weight loss. Obesity is a killer and has all the danger of cancer without any of the compassion from your friends or family. Get a diagnosis then get treatment before torturing yourself at the next BBQ.
