Are You Looking For a Mansion?

Two New Jersey homes recently went up for auction, but not for a lack of money by the owners to make the mortgage payment. The Federal Trade Commission is conducting a liquidation sale to pay $18.8 million in fines imposed on two people who ran a company that tricked people into thinking they were donating money to police, firefighter and veteran charities.

Scott Pasch and David Keezer ran Civic Development Group, a supposed charity that made telemarketing calls to solicit donations for the purchase of bullet-proof vests for officers and provide death benefits to officers’ families. After an investigation, the FTC found that only 10 cents of every dollar raised went to the charities. The rest was pocketed by the Civic Development Group.

Pasch and Keezer agreed to a settlement of an $18.8 million fine and a liquidation sale that includes the two homes.

Perhaps you are looking to live on the upscale part of the Jersey Shore? Then David Keezer’s home, a 12,000 square-foot, five-bedroom, fully furnished beachfront property in Monmouth Beach, N.J., complete with four fireplaces, heated in-ground pool and spa, pool house and private beach lot may be the home for you.

If a more classic home is for you, then Scott Pasch’s Warren, N.J. house may be your next dream home. This home measures up at 10,000 square feet with six bedrooms, wine cellar, heated pool and spa, two gourmet kitchens and is set on a 2.8-acre property with an English garden and pond.

Everyday something I hear about blows my mind. If we would all just be honest, things might change quicker than we realize.
