Yes, I’m at the top of Activerain, but that doesn’t mean I can stop learning! I’m going to my first Raincamp on Wednesday here in Portland and why am I doing that? Well, to put it simply, though I can teach people how to use Activerain, there are still people who can teach me.

I will never pretend that I know everything. There is always something new and exciting in business, technology, and life, and there will always be someone smarter and better at it than me. The key for me is to learn from them and to never forget that the day I stop learning is the day I stop living.

Raincamp

Life is all about education. I truly believe everything in life is a learning opportunity. Twenty years ago if you told me that in less than 15 seconds I could tell one million people where I am, what I’m doing and even include a picture with that update, I would have told you were crazy.

But, today we have Twitter, Facebook, and all these other forms of media that do exactly that. They keep us in constant contact with the world while also connecting us with old friends that we haven’t seen in years. Heck, in some cases, like my wife’s, they put her in contact with relatives that she had never even met or even knew existed because her father died when she was four.

So, will I become a better and more productive blogger and Realtor on Wednesday. I know, without a doubt, that I will and also come away with new understanding of how I can use social media and blogging to reach even more people in my community in a more productive and community friendly manner.

I know that you will come away with wonderful things to further your business!  I read a post (Karen George) the other day and went back on my settings page & realized I didn't complete it right.  All this time & I might have looked but I never 'saw' what I needed too.

Todd,

I love e-mail because you can send a single though or even word! We'd never do that conventionally. Just saying I'm thinking of you!

Social media does the same thing with groups! It's like speaking up at a coffee break or cocktail party.

Just like gatherings some people enlighten us, some warm or harts, and some annoy and/or offend!

I participate depending on the group and my time.

If you get just one good idea that you can implement, any seminar is worthwhile. Have fun at RainCamp.

Todd how true that is! Simply amazing what technology allows us to do! 1,000,000 people with a couple of clicks on the keyboard (or key pad on your phone) !! You are an inspiration to all of us! Thanks and enjoy Raincamp!

p.s. I'll be in Portland next week and can't wait!!

Todd - Being #1 on any site does not necessarily make you the best (Im not judging you, just agreeing with you). You do need to learn about new technology and how you can utilize it to make your business better. I believe you will love Raincamp. Lots of familiar faces and many great pointers. Have fun!

Todd - I have no doubt that even the master blogger will pick up a few tips from Ben, Bob and Brad.

Rain Camp is really great.  If nothing else it is like a tune up to remind you of what you already know.  But there are so many changes all the time too it is just a good update.
