I hear the word "capitalism" thrown around as a dirty word by people who certainly cannot define it.  It is the only system in the world's economic history that has improved the lives of people in all social strata in every area that has applied it.  No other system is so fair, so beneficial or so worthy of emulation.  Simply put - it works.

The good thing about capitalism is that it is based on self-interest and self-esteem. The back thing about capitalism is that is based on self-interest and self-esteem. And when capitalism is unbridled and unregulated, it can get evern nastier, as we saw recently with the global economy meltdown, Bernie Madoff, Enron, etc., etc., etc.

It's the best system ever invented, but that doesn't mean it's the perfect system.
