Jay * glad to see you posted to Steve's new group. I'm a Capitalist and PROUD of it. Real estate agents * as independent contractors * are CAPITALISTS and may not know it
I tried to make that point in a previous post about Free Enterprise, Wallace, in which I asked what my capital was as a home inspector! Everyone self employed is a capitalist, free enterpriser and entrepreneur...
Jay,
Great post. Capitalism is synonomous with free enterprise and that is part of the American fabric. It's such a shame that it is not taought in schools. :)
Steve
Wallace,
Thanks for helping to promote our new group "The Law of the Land." Looking forward some more great posts like this one. :)
Steve
Thanks Steve and Wallace!
Yay, Jay...so glad to see you here! Is "tuesday free enterprise quote" going to be a series? ;-)
Susan - I have been doing it for a while now. I missed a couple of Tuesdays ago when I had that TV spot, which took a lot of time that day!
Jay,
This post is now featured in our new group "The Law of the Land." Congratulations. :)
Steve
Jay,
This post is now featured on the group "Celebrating Free Enterprise." Congratulations. :)
Steve
Thanks Steve!
Thanks Steve!
The good thing about capitalism is that it is based on self-interest and self-esteem. The back thing about capitalism is that is based on self-interest and self-esteem. And when capitalism is unbridled and unregulated, it can get evern nastier, as we saw recently with the global economy meltdown, Bernie Madoff, Enron, etc., etc., etc.
It's the best system ever invented, but that doesn't mean it's the perfect system.
Russel - every system breeds its thieves. But they aren't the system! It always weeds them out.
