I, however, was thrilled.
Those who follow me regularly probably know that occasionally I'll have some extra time on my hands and just want to do something kind of quirky.
July 4 was one of those times.
I decided that in addition to making my daily minimum 11 comments (yes, 11), I would create an Independence Day graphic and see how many blogs I could leave that graphic in as a comment.
The graphic looked like this:
I got to 208 blogs on July 4 and left that graphic as a comment, so if you got one, well, it was just me being quirky.
This morning while making my blog rounds, I visited a blog where I had left that graphic. Interestingly, the blog owner had taken MY graphic from MY comment and inserted it directly into HER most recent blog post. It looks like this, with specific identifying information cropped out:
I was thrilled.
It does beg the question, though, as to who owns the content of a comment? The commenter, or the blog writer?
