Aren't milestones grand!
Sometimes over the past week or so I crossed the mile marker of reaching over 100,000 points here in the wonderful organization of ActiveRain!
I am not exactly sure when it it happened.....I remember noticing when it was around 99,500 and thinking OHHHHH....look at that! And I watched it creep up day by day as I watched in anticipation of a celebration. AND THEN I GOT VERY BUSY........... and this exciting accomplishment happened when I wasn't looking! And there were no fireworks or horns blowing and no pats on the back with "Way to Go!" praises. Nope nothing happened at all.......
But then one day when I was caught up a bit and felt the urge to make my presence in the Rain I just happened to notice that big bold red banner with numbers that had rolled over the finish line and I was there! WHERE you ask? Well.........A MEMBER OF THE Activerain Silver Star Hall of Fame OF COURSE!

And of course when you reach these milestones you are immediately taken back on a walk down memory lane to reminisce over your other milestones that gave you that great feeling of "Hey...Look what I did!"
Yeah, Yeah.....I know you are thinking.....OK now she is going to remind us of her accomplishments.........
Well of course I am! It is my day! I am a shining SILVER star!
HMMMMM....let's see....where shall I start? .......It all started when I got my first feature. I was so excited about posting my 100th post that I did a blog of appreciation of all the great people I had met in the Rain and VOILA....IT GOT A FEATURE! Well SURE you can read it if ya want to!

Well the next week I crossed the milestone of 50,000 points and was so grateful for this great recognition and the Feature in addition to the 100 post mile marker that I wrote a post about that.....

And I cannot go away without a mention of my 3rd FEATURE which for some reason does not show up in my AR Data above. ( I guess I must speak to the tally keepers at ActiveRain about that)

But in spite of all the pomp and circumstance I really must point out.....IT REALLY IS NOT ABOUT THE POINTS.....OR THE AWARDS......OR THE PATS ON THE BACK..........
It is about the GREAT friends here in the Rain!
The ones that are there to listen to your stories and make comments here and there....The ones that are so willing to share their amazing knowledge with us.....The ones that understand your feelings when things aren't just right and stop by to say hello and lift up your spirits....The ones that give you the drive to keep on keeping on when sometimes it seems unimportant.....A drive that leads you to things like 100,000 points!
And all of this comes complete with a one of a kind blogging platform and forum to express yourself and promote yourself and your listings in a way that is heard around the world on the world wide web.........
