Mountain Home, Arkansas Market Report 6/01/2010 to 6/30/2010  The numbers were actually a bit surprising to me this month!  I had expected a bit of doom and gloom.  I really do need to quit listening to the national news.

Mountain Home is the largest segment of our entire MLS system here in the Mountain Home, Twin Lakes area.  I will use the numbers reported by the Mountain Home MLS System for Mountain Home

More sales this year than last year.  More Volume in '10.  Average Sales price was down 6% for the year.  The tough part for sellers of course is the lesser prices...But for a buyer that is encouraging news...Prices have come down some.  The number of homes on the market right now is up 9% over last year.  Great news for prospective buyers...More to choose from, and at LOWER prices!  No Better Time Than Now!

Hi John we've got the same thing happening in West Memphis and Marion.  But I do think the July and August number will not be as good as 09.  Hope I'm wrong.

Hi Mike!  I understand...I guess I just expected to see it tail off in June...I was busy, but not a lot of ink was written....Hopefully we will catch a second breath here, and the market will take off.  July has been busy so far.
