Iphone Lovers beware of the "death grip"!

I must admit I have been jealous of my friends and collegues who been walking around with their Iphone these last couple of years. As i sit and watch them scroll through multiple applications at a time. I was took satisfaction that Verizon has some of the best service that American cell phone companies offer, and that satisfaction grew a little more today with some news of the Iphone "death grip" eath Grip? what is this according to reports from the new iphone users you lose all signal if you hold it in your left hand. Reports are coming out it is not the issue of holding it your left hand but iphone signal strength coding has been messed up, or poor for some time.

DCNN Money reported.. The iPhone 4 "grip of death" signal-strength problem stems from a bug that has been with Apple's bestselling smart phone all the way back to the original iPhone, Apple announced Friday, saying it had found a "simple and surprising" cause for the widely reported reception issues.

But Apple's "explanation" raised more questions than it answered.

"Upon investigation, we were stunned to find that the formula we use to calculate how many bars of signal strength to display is totally wrong," the company wrote in astatement posted on its website. "Our formula, in many instances, mistakenly displays 2 more bars than it should for a given signal strength."

oh well their is nothing like new technology. I hope Apple can work out the kinks and move it over to Verizon one day.

I have the 3G version and am waiting for someone, anyone other than AT&T, to provide service before I upgrade.

Akil, After lots of research I think the HTC Droid is a better choice. And yes it's Verizon!

Akil I need to upgrade my Google G1 like two years ago. I know. I know. But that Iphone4 looks real nice. I hear it has a lot of good Realtor apps on it. Great post.

I love my iPhone 3G. I have had it for two years and have not had any problems. The reception is good in the Hampton Roads Metro area, but when we went to Lake Gaston in NC there was no service at all. My sons girlfriend has Verizon and her service was great. I heard Verizon will start selling the iPhone next year so I think I'll wait until that happens to upgrade to the iPhone4.
