I've slipped away from the Active Rain scene and I'm catching up on all the great blog posts that I have missed over the last few weeks.

This is a great tribute to the guys (and gals) who protect and serve us.  I've never served in law enforcement therefore my sense of appreciation is from a different view point than yours. 

I understand that the Iron horse is a necessary tool in law enforcment, but it takes an extra-special person to accept these added risks to an already risky job. 

So to all the men and women of LAPD, I say thanks for all that you do.  To all you motor cops out there  -- May your guadian angels break your fall.
