Dont' Forget Water!!!!

On 2nd Ave. in Downtown Rome, GA yesterday it was 109 at the Suntrust building.  A friend of mine went to the hospital becasue of heat exhaustion and dehydration!  So make sure as we go through our heat wave that you drink alot of water especially when you are out showing houses and taking listing appointments.

It is going to be at least 105 today with all this heat and the severe drought the grass everywhere is really "fried"!  I have  a problem at the office through all this.......the 2nd floor has a metal roof, when we did the remodel the 2nd floor didn't have a heat and air system so I had one installed the HVAC guy recommended a 1 1/2 ton system and now he is telling me that it should have been a 2 ton or 2 1/2 ton since the roof was metal!!!!!!   I would have bought the bigger unti 2 years ago if he had recommended it!  So now with the heat at about 2 pm everyday the 2nd floor is about 90 plus degrees!!!!  I don't know what to do about this isssue the 2nd floor is only about 500 sq. ft.......

On the happy note, if somebody wants to look at home in the 105 degrees they are probably very serious about buying! Stay cool

Jennifer,

That's a common mistake to make with the HVAC system.  If they were the original installed they should eat that unit and you should pick up the cost difference of the upgrade.  Chances are they will re-install that unit somewhere else regardless...

 Good luck and stay cool.

Jennifer, since your HVAC guy made the initial recommendation, maybe you can shame him into giving you a significant discount on an upgrade!
