Active Rain spreads sunshine in my little part of the world.

What a wonderful surprise I had this morning when checking my email. Rhonda Stansberry a great friend and neighbor from Ansbach, Germany had contacted me through one of my blogs. We were stationed together and shared a duplex (off post) back in 1999-2001. It has been several years since we have spoken and I look forward to catching up with her.

Both of our husbands flew helicopters in the Army so we had an instant connection. I do not know why we ever lost touch...but unfortunately that happens more than I care to say. Anyway...Rhonda it was great hearing from you. Thanks active rain for bringing back wonderful memories and reuniting friendships.

Now I need to ask her...How did she come across my blog,(she is not a member) was she searching for me, real estate in Fredericksburg Va, ...whatever it is she found me and I am thankful!

How many other people has this happened to? I am sure there are more stories...Let's hear them.

Not quite the same, but a few weeks ago, I read a "comment" on an AR blog post by Pam Hofmann, TN. For some reason I clicked onto her profile. Turns outs that we are both from the same hometown in MI (I'm in PA now), our fathers worked together and we had cottages at the company "resort". Her brother and my cousin were & still are good friends. Small world!

I have had similar experiences but not here on AR but on facebook. I was even contacted by someone that I had not seen in over 12 years. He told me that he has a Realtor friend and wondered if I knew him as well - he is a Realtor in my last office. Funny how these connections are lost and regained again....

I was searching for you when I found your dad's website with a link to your website! I remember meeting him when he came to visit you in Germany. Like you, he has a great sense of humor! I have found over the years that the internet has made if possible for many friends, especially high school friends, to find me. It is always a pleasant surprise to hear from old friends and look forward to catching up with you!!
